The College Library has an area of 12521sq.ft and it contains 32784 books at present and efforts are afoot to increase the number of books in the forthcoming years. A book bank caters to the needs of SC/ST students. Students are allowed to prepare for competitive examinations and entrance examinations (reference only).
A total number of 61 + 4 Foreign and Indian Magazines, Journals and Periodicals are being subscribed. Computer Automation facility is available for quick access and retrieval of day to day function of the library activities. A separate P.G. Library is accommodated in the P.G. block. The library provides open access to students. It also follows disciplined rules.


The college auditorium (Lakshmi Ammal Veerappa Naicker Auditorium) has audio-visual facilities and can accommodate 2000 persons. There is a guest room for VIPs and a green room for the cultural program artists. The auditorium is used for various purposes as follows:

1. College auditorium is utilized for organising seminars, conferences, cultural and academic programs.

2. Our college offer its premises and other facilities as a venue for the assembly, panchayat elections and public awareness programs.

Apart from this auditorium, we have two seminar halls (seating capacity – 400 Nos.) and two smart rooms (seating capacity – 60 Nos).

A large playground is a part of infrastructure facility provided to the students in the college. Although participation in all games is encouraged, a special facility in the form of training under the supervision of experienced coaches in games like Volleyball, Basketball and Football exists on campus. Intra Collegiate competitions are arranged for indoor games like Badminton, Chess and Carom.


We offer students a wide choice of games, sports and recreational activities. We have the facilities to play Basketball, Volleyball, Ball Badminton and Table-tennis. We also offer students with wide range of indoor games like Carom, Chinese checkers and Chess.



The Gymnasium is well equipped with the gadgets to improve physique and give corrective measures for reducing obesity and to maintain physical fitness.

Net Cafe

Faculty members are allowed to access Internet at free of cost during college working hours. Students can access the Internet from 1.30pm to 4.00pm at nominal charges for their educational needs.


The College has made proper arrangements with TNSTC authorities and four city buses are operated from the college campus exclusively for girls. Two buses are commuting from College to Periyar bus stand. Also buses to Tirumangalam and Annanagar commutes from the college.


There is a canteen in the college premises which is run by self employed women entrepreneur group providing hygienic breakfast, vegetarian lunch, coffee, tea, snacks and refreshments at nominal cost.


A spacious hostel for girl students caters to the needs of the students hailing from the neighbouring villages, towns and other states. The hostel promotes a healthy and congenial environment for communal living. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food is provided in the mess.

Medical facilities and recreational facilities are available. Hostel students have the special privilege of learning Hindi. Prayer is conducted every day in the Hostel to inculcate the values of integrity, peace and harmony in the minds of the students. Principal is the Warden, assisted by the Deputy Warden, selected from the teaching staff.

“The greatest wealth is health”. Hence it is vital to protect the health of the students as well as staffs. An experienced doctor is attending the clinic room in the college on all working days. Free health counselling is given to all the students, teaching and non-teaching staffs when it is necessary.

There is a provision to check blood sugar level and blood pressure at free of cost. General check up is given to the students once in three months. Horlicks is given to the students, teaching and non-teaching staffs during their pregnancy period. Special care is given to them. Fruits and biscuits are provided to them in alternate days.
