Department of History
Profile
The department of History was established in the year 1979 with UG Programme. The Department is equipped with fully qualified and dedicated four faculty members
They have rendered seminal services to the students and the college. The Department is offering “Panchayat Raj and Local Urban Government” as Certificate course. Regarding minor project, one individual Institutional Project in 2017 – 2018, two individual Institutional Projects in 2018-2019 and one joint Institutional Project in 2019 – 2020, one Student Project and One Inter-Departmental Project in 2020-2021 have been completed.
The Department is facilitated with two Computers, Printer and Scanner with high speed net connection. The Department has eminent Professors, Teachers, Lawyers, Army Soldiers Police, etc, as Alumni members. Students visit places of historical importance periodically.
This department has a mini library with 195 books. Students are imparted skill oriented subjects like Principles and Methods of Archaeology, Museology, Epigraphy, Archives Keeping and Fundamental skills in Computer.
