Achievements

Achievements of the Department:

• The department has 9 faculty members in which 7 are doctorates and the remaining 2 are pursuing their research.
• Three faculty members are qualified with TNSET.
• Six professors are recognized research guideship from Madurai Kamaraj University.
• 12 scholars pursue their Ph.D research through our research department.
• One candidate was awarded Ph.D degree and one more scholar has submitted her research thesis.
• Six Research Projects funded by the institution were successfully completed by the faculty.
• Students and research scholars from the department had completed four Research projects funded by the institution.
• Our students’ project titled “New Approaches of Biological Sciences” is approved by TNSCST in 2022.
• The department regularly organizes national and international level conferences and workshops.
• One project has been approved by MHRD Minor Project under UBA.
• Conducted three day workshop on “Math Teachers Training through Low Cost Teaching Aids” for school teachers in 2022, under TNSCST fund.
• National Science Day & National Mathematics day were celebrated in 2022, under TNSCST fund.
• The department is honoured with Kalam’s World Record for solving 17,290 individual Date of Birth Magic Squares by 1729 students on the birth anniversary of the greatest Indian mathematician SRINIVASA RAMANUJAN.
• Dr.A.Arivu Chelvam was awarded “Best Teacher Award” on 5th September 2020 by Orange World Record, Malaysia.
• Dr.R.Bhavani received “Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award” on 31st October, 2021 from National Institute for Socio Economic Development.
